LIMITED TERM OFFICER (LTO)

**APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED CONTINOUSLY**

 

 

 

LTO’s are sworn law enforcement officers of the Wisconsin Dells PD hired to supplement our patrol force during the busy tourist season.  Limited Term Officers are usually employed fulltime from April through September of each year. The officer will begin on a part-time basis in the Spring (March-April) to begin field training. The primary focus of the LTO is footpatrol in the Downtown Wisconsin Dells River District. LTO’s gain experience in all aspects of traffic patrol and criminal investigation, working closely with fulltime officers and investigators.  Many of our LTO’s find fulltime positions after just one season with the Wisconsin Dells PD. The experience received from working in this unique environment is an asset to any officer beginning their law enforcement career. To be considered for Limited Term Officer an applicant must be actively enrolled in a police science program.  LTO’s work fulltime on a limited term basis. Their wages are set by the Chief of Police.
