INFORMATION YOU SHOULD KNOW WHEN IN WISCONSIN DELLS
PARKING ENFORCEMENT
Meters: Parking meters run daily May 15th to October 1st until 9:00pm. Winter Parking: Alternate side parking from December 1st to April 1st from 1:00am to 8:00am. Park on even side of the street on even days, odd side of the street on odd days. Overnight Parking: No parking on any city street or lot in the downtown area from 2:00am until 6:00am.
NUISANCE VEHICLES
City Ordinance sec 17.04 prohibits any non-registered, non-roadworthy vehicle to sit more than ten days on private property or 24 hours on any public street or lot.
CRUISING PROHIBITED
Vehicles passing a control point on Broadway more than three times in a two hour period may be subject to cruising ordinance. Cruising is enforced from 8:00pm until 4:00am. Exceptions include vehicles used during the course of legal employment.
ALCOHOL VIOLATIONS
Bar time is from 2:00am Monday though Friday and 2:30am on Saturday and Sunday morning. No open containers are allowed on a city street or public area outside a licensed premise. Drinking age for the State of Wisconsin is 21 and is strictly enforced.
CURFEW VIOLATION
No person under the age of 18 is allowed on city streets or public property without parental custody after 10:00pm Sunday to Thursday and 11:00pm on Friday and Saturday Night.
BICYCLE LICENSE
Bicycle owners need to register their bikes annually after May 15 or within 30 days of new ownership. The current cost for a registration sticker is $5.00. The stickers are permanently affixed to the bike and are non-expiring. Stickers are available at the Wisconsin Dells Police Department.
